I'm inclined to agree..even Keef, the biggest Auburn homer-troll CB'd him to flip.

When is this marshall business supposed to come to fruition? I wanna see the damned flipadelphia gif.

Won't be made public until 2PM on NSD. But you can go ahead and assume it has happened at this point

I don't know much about Marshall, is he that good and underrated?

Any word from Lowndes?

I think he's come along since he was rated. He's up to 6'4" 275lbs with what looks like very little body fat. Kirby wants him badly so i'll take it that he sees something in him that the rating services didn't.

FWIW, my little brother goes to school with Derrick Brown and grew up playing little league with him. I asked him where he was going and my brother said that all the kids at Lanier are still under the impression that he's going to UGA.
Again I'm quoting a 17 year old kid, but I suppose we all came here to talk about 17 year olds in the first place.

Kirby has more NC rings than we have SECCG appearances over the same period, so I'll defer to his judgement. He knows who he can coach up.

Nobody knows for certain until a kid is on campus and practicing/playing. However, the Auburn coaching staff wanted him badly, and it appears as if Smart wants him. We need a whole lot of depth, so if nothing else he will provide that. I suspect he will turn into a pretty good payer, though.

Any time we flip a recruit from Florida, Tennessee or Auburn, the magnitude of the impact can be doubled - Georgia gets stronger, and we simultaneously weaken a hated rival. Assuming the player isn't a bust, of course.

I could be wrong but I believe that Lowndes had sources within the Richt camp and those sources have since moved out. Let me look and see if he's posted anything recently...
ETA: Yea, he hasn't posted since the day after Christmas.

From the Bama thread..
Robertson on Silent commits
Robertson on Silent commits
quote:
Robertson is looking forward to seeing where all of his fellow recruits end up in a few days, and actually knows of a few commitments that haven’t been publicized yet.
“It’ll be really interesting to see where these guys go,” Robertson said. “I really have a good relationship with all of them. I know where some of them are going to go before you guys even know. It’s going to be interesting to see if they change the school up or not.”
Of the “silent” commitments Robertson is aware of, he named the two programs that will be the beneficiaries of them.
“Bama and Georgia,” Robertson said.

I have to believe if Jenkins actually knew something, he wouldn't out Burns on Twitter.

I've watched Marshall play for years. He is a man among boys. He did get a reputation for taking plays off. Auburn will be very disappointed if he flips.

Rivals says Brown is really 50-50 between us and the barn. Also said that a source on the team told Radi that Tre Nixon did in fact commit to us when he was on his visit.
