James Coley has been offered a job as a position coach
Wonder if it's WR or TE.

would be TE or QB with Chaney coaching TEs. TE seems more likely though

Just watched 2017 QB David Mills' junior highlights. Kid has a good arm and makes a lot of precise throws on deep routes and also can run a little bit. I know Chaney offered him while he was at Pitt so I'm sure he wants him badly. Would be a solid get if we don't end up with Fromm.

Wish Chaney/Pittman would coach TE's and hire a full time ST's coach.

I just don't think there's enough room on a staff for a full-time STs coach. I thought the setup from the past few years was fine.

Counterpoint would be TE coach with 3-4 players to coach
I'm sure the setup remains the same.
We need to start a thread for Hires/rumored hires

Lilly was designated as a co-STs coordinator with Ekeler, so that was the idea of the previous setup.
I just think it's more about practice time. All coaches help with STs so any specific title doesn't really matter.
ETA: and not playing walk-ons on special teams

Having the full 85 scholarship players does wonders for your special teams play.

Can't believe Elijah Holyfield didn't get an invite to either Under Armor or Army AA game.

247 has him ranked as the 284th player in the nation
ESPN has him as the 183rd
Rivals 99th in the nation
Scout 173rd
What gives? The kid is a physical specimen with golden genes and 3 years of great film.

Probably didn't do all of the camps and stuff..that's my guess.

He's a solid 4* back. Not on Chubb or Michel's level, which he'd have to be to be ranked higher.

we better hit some homeruns in 2017 for RB because this class isn't looking too hot

Well we were the favorite for Anthony Macfarland in 2017 and Zamir White in 2018. Now that we've lost both McLendon and Brown, though, I'm not sure that's still the case

Gotta get Crawford
Not worried about 2017 and beyond

The new staff needs to stay on Zamir White hard...kid is going to be really damn good.

Can't you just see it coming. For years we had stud RB's left and right but awful QB play. Now that it looks like we've found a QB (Eason), we lose our former and current RB coaches that recruited all those great players.
