I wouldn't count on it. His parents are from East Tennessee and he has grown up a huge fan of them. But it is still a long way from then.

He said he would've been fine with only a UGA offer. That was after we officially offered him. I think we could swing him. There was twitter chatter between some recruiting guys and HS coaches this past week during the playoffs that he could be one of the best QBs ever to come out of the state of GA. I think he'd be great in red & black personally

Not really but he has the arm. He can flick it deep and he is very mobile. He is still a good qb but has issues with overthrows and zip. Needs to polish up but I would still take him in a heartbeat. A good coach will get his issues worked out.

Is it bad that these words don't mean as much to me, in light of Ramsey-gate? That said, I can't wait to see who our QB coach is.

Yeah I'm tired of the arm thing too.

Would love just once for someone to say "kid has incredible knowledge of defensive concepts and schemes and makes checks at an elite level for a high school qb"

I'll take another Aaron Murray every day of the week.

He has the football pedigree that you are looking for. He can make the pass reads. He needs to work on touch and not trusting his arm so much.

I know a lot will depend on retaining BMac, but has anyone taken Kyle Davis' temperature re: the Kirby hire?

People forget that Ramsey never had to make reads in high school running a run oriented offense. Hockman is in a spread and makes reads. He just has a cannon and trust his arm alot similar to Ramsey in that. I've watched him play a few times. Kid has moxey and has great movement with his feet. A good QB coach would have fun with him.

The only chance we have is if Dcraig takes a job somewhere else. If not KD will be going to Auburn.

He took off earlier this afternoon so he may not have landed yet. If he blows off the gala we'll know where we stand.

Just looking at 247 Rankings, if Smart can keep Eason, we have a legit shot to get 7 guys of the top 26 players in their rankings.

1. Eason
2. Nauta
3. Derrick Brown
4. Mack Wilson
5. Ben Davis
6. Mecole Hardman
7. Demetrius Robert

I hate the recruiting services because I don't think they are good for football but, surely we'd have at least 3 or 4 studs from this group! Would be an impressive haul and a heck of a way to start the smart era.

3 of those are far from sure things, especially if Pruitt leaves.

Way too early to be counting eggs. I think we will get at least two of the 6, but so much depends on OC/DC hires.

Which three? Kirby will hold our water with all the defensive guys. Lol
