It's weird IMO for you to say you wish he was 4 inches taller, but then you're so concerned about him leaving. If he was 4 inches taller, he'd for sure go pro. Leslie and Thompkins (more so Thompkins) had a few late 1st round projections. I didn't think they should have gone pro because I thought they both had 1st round potential if they stayed another year, but a lot of times guys want to go make money and you can't completely blame them for it.

I haven't watched any florida this season so I asked their board about the team. Some of the responses:

quote:

we are basically a 2 man show on offense which is easy to defend.

quote:

Statistically we are dead last in FG%, FT% and 3PT%. Georgia is 118th in FG% UF is 256th. We have a couple playmakers when they are on and our PG play has been terrible this year.

They're incredibly beatable and I think we all know that. The big question is if our team and our program has turned the corner to where we can get out of our own way mentally in an environment where we typically collapse. But then I think that has been my biggest concern all season: talent and depth is better but what about the mentality?

I'm hoping that being on a holiday weekend, and their football team playing the day before in a different city, and other bowl games on during gametime, that it will be a little less of a crowd.

Hopefully. But at the same time, what a statement it would be to the conference and to ourselves if these guys can win in a loud, hostile environment. We may need that experience for down the road.

We've done surprisingly well on the road under fox, at least by UGA standards. Used to be I'd chalk up any away conference game as a loss but we typically seem to put up a fight these days.

meh, all the key guys are already pretty experienced playing in big games, including NCAA games, so I wouldn't mind getting a road W in a not so hostile venue.

Yes we have. He has pulled through some big wins on the road. I love Fox and think if he is given the time and support he will turn us into a great basketball school.

I was listening to something the other day and they were quoting Mark Fox on working with Turtle Jackson. He said that he was very honest in his approach to the game and that he could take criticism. Did anybody else hear that?

If so, I wonder if that is sir thing he is fighting with Charles Mann and JJ Frazier? Or, was he just stating that as a general quality that he likes about the kid.

We've got a lot of young guys that need the experience and the team as a whole needs to learn how to rally in that kind of atmosphere as they are this year; last year you could count on Nemi or Marcus to bail us out.

We're 10 point favorites over Mizzou tomorrow. That's a rare thing in SEC games for us. Got to get these relatively easy wins.
