Yeah, at Tech, against #10 Gozaga, and a Minnesota team that went on to win the NIT. Not exactly bad losses early on.

The rest of the way saw us lose to LSU, Auburn, and South Carolina (x2). The respectable losses were to both UK and Arky twice apiece.

This is my thing. When he and KG shoot the lights out, it's a damn sight to behold. But when they're off, they're off. And if we're going to be successful this year, they can't both be off at the same time.

we haven't had a bad loss this year, minus the K-state game and they aren't terrible. Even in our wins, from a year agao, the scores are really close. Similiar to this year.

and obviously JJ isnt going to score 35 every night. But Kenny isnt going to be held to 9-11 points every night either. Having three options that can/could carry the offensive load is huge.

Absolutely. I think we can count on maten every night, he's just that good. 1 of our 3 main guards will likely have a good scoring night each game. That leaves one other person needing to step up. It could be one of the other guards, but ideally we can start counting on DO. He's just such a physical presence that once he gets comfortable around the rim I think he's going to be huge. I'm just ready to see kessler and kpg's numbers dwindle.

agreed on both points. DO impressed me with his footwork down low, like you said he just has to get used to finishing those little baby hooks. God bless the whities for fighting the good fight, but yeah, less is more with those two. Starting to feel the same way about Mann honestly. I know it would never happen, but I think our best lineup would not include Chuck. Dude is a walking TO.

CM is awful at turning the ball over, but he's an experienced guy and that could definitely help in crunch time down the line. He can get to the FT line and has taken more FTs than anyone on the team. 67% isn't that great, but that's 3rd on the team for people that have taken more than 6 attempts.

I think our best lineup right now would be

1- Frazier
2- Gaines
3- Mann
4- Yante/DO
5- DO/Yante

Over time, possibly remove mann, put turtle in there and slide Gaines to the 3.

I have been very hot/cold on mann but as of this second I guess I don't mind him getting minutes. If he goes through a funk like on saturday where all he's doing is turning it over then yeah yank him outta there.

Also not sure it's been mentioned but I LOVED us pressing tech with about 2 minutes left. Holy crap you talk about a game ender...they were shocked and had no answer. The game was pretty well in hand so it probably didn't matter much, but once you saw us giving them full court pressure they collapsed. I haven't seen that in a while.

Huge freaking victory over Tech. When Frazier gets hot, he is unreal. I'd love to see a game where both he and Kenny got it going.

Keep an eye on Woolridge or Wilridge... I forget...

This kid has a HUGE upside and is very athletic. Parker seemed to come alive midway theough his freshman season. I could see the same for this kid. This team is gonna get better and better as the year rolls on. I really think 20+ wins is a possibility this year if we can hit FT's and close teams out down the stretch.

Yeah I like woolly. Edwards has shown some promise. Need him to get better at FT though. I know it's early but do you think this will be fox most impactful freshman class?

Maybe... The class with Mann, Gaines, and Morris was pretty good. As an overall class, this class is very fundamentally sound. They really play under control which is hard to find in college basketball today. Fundamentally, yes this is his most impactful Frosh class... Next year with Harris, Crump, (long shot with Simmons), will be Fox's best scoring freshman class since he's been the coach.

It would be great if Fox could find another woolridge to come off the bench. Maybe by that time Juwaun Parker will be back 100%.

Maybe we can push KPG to go pro, lol, and then go find a 7 footer that can really play.

Parker probably isn't going to play at all this year.

Yeah he will be medically redshirted and will be a Jr again next year. I can't remember how many scholly's we can give out but I'd like for us to get another true small forward and a really really big man.

FWIW, beating Oakland by 4 looks pretty good right now. They're up 9 on #1 Michigan State with 14 min left on ESPNU.

I am not sure that GA has ever beaten two ACC teams in the same season in my life time. Wow.
