I'd argue that he couldn't throw with touch any of his time in Athens. Dude threw 100 mph fastballs all day long.
Definitely not true, by his Junior year he was the best QB in the country by far and his red zone abilities were off the charts.
I personally believe we didn't give him much to work with at WR besides AJ Green. I loved Kris Durham but he was only really good his sr. year and I loved Massaquoi but he didn't match Stafford talent level. Again, IMO.

I want to clarify, I am by no means saying Eason wont be better than Stafford. I think he is great but I think its unfair to compare him to Stafford. ESP, when he isn't even on campus yet.
We are lucky to have had one Stafford, let alone a second that has a real possibility to be better than the first.

No one is comparing him to Stafford now or at UGA. Reports are that he is very similar to where Stafford was when he was in his final year of high school.
In terms of comparing recruits, based on his size, strengths, and college choice - Stafford is really the only comparison you can make.
To me, he comes off as Stafford-type talent without the Stafford-type ego.

Slayton will come to a decision between AU and UGA tomorrow per his head coach

I hope Slayton sticks and I really like the Choates kid. We need Slayton to finish up this class. How many players we got on signing day deciding?
Slayton tomorrow, Rico, Godwin, Roquan, Buchanan, Choates (I guess) and anyone else?

Doubt it. Chatman maybe, but I feel like Choates may depend on how they feel about his grades vs. Deontai Williams' grades.
They need 4 WRs imo, regardless of whether Slayton sticks or not.

Yea Allen but who else is he really considering? I felt like he was all Dawg through the process?

Tennessee. He decommitted like a month ago but Georgia retook momentum

It’s worth the wait with Georgia. I don’t have a problem with this. I will know Tuesday. That’s my dream school. If they offer me, then I’m going to Georgia.
Love this kid already.

Did you not read the article? People have been comparing him to Stafford since last year.
He is 3 inches taller than Stafford which makes a huge difference in athletics. His abilities based on his size and arm strength are probably better compared to Ben Roethlisberger, IMO.
All I said is I don't like people comparing him to Stafford. I think it could put to much pressure on an 18 year old kid. Fortunately, he has a better use of his time than reading message boards.

Stafford was never the best QB in the country. He threw off of his back foot way too much and trusted his arm way too much.

I don't think that Eason is very much like Stafford. Eason has much better touch and he understands how to use trajectory. Stafford always wanted to show off the arm so he threw hard flat long passes that receivers had trouble adjusting to.
Eason's body type, throwing mechanics and decisiveness remind me of Tom Brady.

I'd take a Tom Brady replica. There's no denying he has a ton of athleticism and a very high ceiling. Once he puts some muscle on and gets adjusted to college I think he will be special. Harbaugh needs to stay the frick away he's ours

you would've had fun selling that to NFL teams in the 2009 draft. Id love to see this on tape. He was at his best mechanically and fu damentally his Jr year of college compared to every year since.
