Looking like a pretty good chance that Alvin Kamara ends up in this class

With the stable of RBs we already have, do we really need him taking up a spot? He's already had issues at Bama. Why would the coaches take a chance on him?

Not arguing that they won't. Just doesn't make a lof of sense.

I don't really care for him to come here unless he's straightened himself out. But I would imagine he would play slot for us.

I think it would depend on how the RB board plays out over the summer. It looks like we're trying to take 1 traditional RB and 1 all-purpose type. Kamara would obviously be the all-purpose guy. He has a skill set that we don't have on campus currently.

In regard to his issues at Bama, it sounds to me like he felt wronged somehow and lashed out. It's immature and a mistake, but that's not uncommon for 18 year olds. Our staff knows him really well, and wouldn't consider it if they didn't think he could be a good addition. This doesn't strike me as a Crowell situation.

All this comes up because Rusty mentioned Kamara quite possibly going to UGA, and a reputable poster followed up with "he didn't choose Hutchinson by himself." If he wanted to go to Clemson, he would already be enrolled there

He just got a DUI. That doesn't scream responsibility to me. On the bright side, at least he had a valid drivers license.

It wasn't a DUI. It was driving with a suspended license

ETA - he'll fit right in

Plus, this would be the first case of a Dawg sleeper agent being called home. Typically our infiltrators are all used up (Dooley), but Kamara can still be of some use to us. I think we should take the opportunity.

"Spurn" UGA for Alabama as a recruit.
Spend your freshman fall bitching, costing Bama recruits, and generally being a nuisance.
Transfer to JUCO to tear it up.
Gloriously return home as a beloved son.

He visited a couple weeks ago, but I didn't get the impression that he was really interested

ETA - Hopefully I got the wrong impression

Justin Young is a good possibility. I don't know of any planned announcements in the near future though

Justin Young, Trent Thompson, Chris Clark, Chuma Edoga (Summer), Ty’Son WIlliams are probably good bets to commit in the next few months
