As I stated, this should be good for UGA in the long run. Of course we wanted Sweat, no college team is crazy enough not to. However, Sweat will not be in the SEC, and it allows the staff to go full bore after Walker. Trust me, Walker will be really good.

My sentiments as well..thought for sure the Criminoles and the sliminess of Fisher mixed with the out-of-state would've swayed him to stay at VT..they have to be bummed out pretty hard.

That program is going down the shitter in a hurry...Fans got spoiled with Beamer in his prime. It's gonna be hard to bring them back to that level again

Even though we didn't get Sweat , it's great to see a UGA hat on the table, recruits will notice those kinda things. Seems like we are listed on a bunch of top 5's of late also.

I've never understood why them and UVA can't be consistently amazing. VT was for awhile but they can't sustain it anymore because they don't have any ACC level skill players on offense and they've been a dumpster fire at QB since Tyrod Taylor graduated.
There is so much talent in that state at programs like Hampton, Oscar Smith, Bethel, etc... yet all the top kids leave the state.
