Why such a long time?

They weren't exactly loaded with talent until a year or so ago. Ted Laurent is the only one that I can remember worth getting up until the last year or two.

I'd have to disagree. They've had plenty of talent for several years now. The below is from 2000-2012

4 Stars- 2 (Ted Laurent) (Jarrod Britt)

3 Stars- 12

That's not exactly loaded. You can take most 5-5 metro area teams and see that many over half the time frame. Hell, some high schools have that in one year.

True but it's not bad. They're still one of the better schools in Cobb Co. especially since around 2009.

It took about 1 to 2 years after Hockman took over to see the difference. However, it doesn't hurt that they can recruit the entire south end of the county

Rivals already has Thompson as #1 overall so im good with it.

It would be huge to convince Thompson to pull the trigger soon to sort of set the tone for 2015 along with Godwin. Same goes for Patrick, Walker, Smith, Roundtree, Edoga or the like.

That could be key. I'm sure that's why Hyatt committed to Clemson so early - to serve as the bell cow for the rest of their class.

We have a nice start, but getting the #1 DL to commit to us early could really set us up very nicely.

Yes, would be awesome. He says UGA is still #1 and FSU is #2. No order after that but UT and Auburn are still on him. Wants to commit during his senior season or, hopefully, before it starts. I agree, it would be some great momentum and a high caliber guy like him recruiting for us at camps/visits would really get the ball rollin'.

I want to flip Mekhi Brown so bad. At 6'6 230, it's like signing 2 Lorenzo Carter's in a row.

It would make sense for Edoga to commit considering his main competitor for LT would be Theus who has underwhelmed.

The program needs a young Stirduvant sans injury. It's been way too long. His tape looks better than the usual prospects. He looks like a fullback blocking in the open field, he just moves alittle different than what I normally see.

Probably Dyshon Sims or Devondre Seymour at that point

I like both as prospects but I don't see any making an early impact. CE could end up being a top 3 tackle with a good year. I don't see how one doesn't start him considering everyone behind Theus is totally unproven.

I've never been enamored by Theus from day 1. I'm hoping he has a fork in the road moment like Drew though. It'll be good to see but if he can't get significant LT this year, I don't see it.

Seymour will be coming in from JUCO as a highly rated prospect, so he better have an immediate impact.

Sims will have a full year in the system and S&C. A lot of people around the program think he's good enough to contribute as a freshman anyway.

Don't get me wrong though, the situation is certainly unsettled and inviting for Edoga

UGA offers 3*OT Tyler Jordan from Jacksonville. Looks like UF leads

It's pretty unbelievable how much momentum the program has compared to after the bowl game.

Well between Kublanow and Wynn I think the OGs at UGA are about to be top notch. That should help out any OT that is still getting his feet wet.

When everyone is pulling the same way, it becomes much easier to push a machine forward.
