If I won the lottery, I would enter into an arrangement with a used car lot (paying under the table of course) to where I would buy a new car, grow tired of it after a few months because there's a scratch on the fender, then sell it to the used car lot, and somehow someway (what a coincidence!) our star players show up at the lot at the precise time the lot decides to sell the car. There's a scratch on it so they have to let it go cheap, somewhere around $500 bucks.

I'm almost positive that we have a VERY similar process in place, or at least we used to. Cars are sold/leased at EXTREME discounts.

Or scooters, at least. I think every single football player has a scooter

Maybe we aren't paying as much, but it is really naive to think that there aren't UGA players receiving improper benefits.

We aren't paying as much or bend the rules as much, clearly, or Tunsil would be in Red & Black.

Crow isn't saying we're paying anyone 200k to come be the QB or that the coaches are in on it or anything like that, it is small group of schools dumb enough to allow that kind of cash to change hands or be so brazen that coaches get in on the act. Anyone thinking we don't have booster that are doling out a few hundred here or there on visits and things like that, though, has their head in the sand. We've pulled too many players that we would not have gotten if benefits weren't involved in the past though to pretend it doesn't happen at all. Just like with most other things though, we get to the line we refuse to cross earlier than most.

Had a friend that had a class with Sterling Bailey. Said the dude mentioned $100 handshakes in a paper he wrote. Not the sharpest tool in the shed...

Back around 2005ish Arkansas gave an unranked kicker prospect $50

I thought that was humerous.
