Dawgs win 15-4, take the series 2-1.
Now 10-5 on the year with App State on Tuesday and Wednesday (Pending rain) and Mizzou next weekend.
This team has most definitely improved in a big way. Should have a very good shot at going to a Regional this year.
Next year, depending on what recruiting does, this team could be back to mid-2000s form.

The defensive play has improved dramatically, as has the batting. Last year it was just nice to see a batter reach during an inning. This year, the most frustrating thing is that we reach so often but leave a lot of runners stranded. If we can do what we did today all year and score the high number of guys we get on, we'd be a very dangerous team.

Nice to see the bats wake up the last two days. This team is a little inconsistent right now, as to be expected, but they have clearly improved from last season.

Dawgs go on a run in the Bot 5th. DJ Smith doubles on a LF error driving home Nick King (who has been playing balls out the past week or so).
Stephen Wrenn then launches his first homer of the year to left, driving in two more (I believe we now have ~17 homers on the year. Had 13 total last year).
