Adams will sting simply bc he was our only signing day hope.

So the kid that was previously committed to Auburn, and got an Auburn Tattoo on his arm has been an Alabama fan his whole life. Okay Reuben.

Nice guys finish last in most cases.

That was serious. I actually think Richt is too nice to really close with kids who are undecided going into the end of the recruiting cycle. He's gotten eaten alive the past two years.
Either that or we are being outspent, if you will, so the same saying still applies.

I just want to put this out before tomorrow. The last couple of years we made is to the SECCG with 3 and low rated 4 star athletes. This class is more talented than the all of them except 2011. I dont know bout ya'll but I think we got what it takes in this class for CMR to keep on rolln and take it to the next level

Alec Ogletree 5*
Keith Marshall 5*
John Theus 5*
Marlon Brown 5*
Aaron Murray high 4*
Jarvis Jones high 4*
John Jenkins high 4*
Todd Gurley high 4*
Malcolm Mitchell high 4*
Damian Swann high 4*
Jordan Jenkins high 4*
Tavarres King high 4*
by high 4* I mean top-100 guys. Pretty much all of our best players fall in this group. Recruiting rankings are inexact and there are obviously cases of 3* who make and 5* who don't. Your odds are better with the 5* though.

I agree with this. Class is strong and fills our needs....mostly. I'm just baffled by our weak arse closing. Obviously our staff can recruit. This signing day flop, if it plays out, sure looks like a trend.

Crow tell that to Oregon and Boise St. Lets see, So. Cal all 5*'s the last few years and they won only 1 NC outright

Why in the frick should we strive to be like Oregon and Boise St? How about Alabama. They've had the #1 recruiting class 4 of the last 5 years. Now they've won 3 of 4 MNCs. The teams that have actually won shite in the recent past (LSU, Florida, even Auburn) have recruited at the highest level consistently.
I'm tired of striving for the East Division Championship (ie. the Almost Conference Championship). That's such a loser's mentality that I just can't stand.

To clarify, I am not upset about the guys we are bringing in. I think there are a lot of guys in this class that can help us. I like the potential of a lot of these guys. I'm just pissed thinking about what could have been. We missed on pretty much all of our top targets, and it's frustrating to see that.
I'm also just tired of the "we'll get 'em next year" and "well we were close" mentalities. Frick that. You should expect and demand to win every game you play. You obviously can't, but that should be the expectation. That goes for players and coaches especially but also fans to an extent. We're fricking Georgia. We have huge resources, a big-time talent pool, and the greatest college town in the country. That's a lot to sell. 10-2 should no longer be good enough.

Richt makes two promises to potential recruits. And he keeps both of them for the most part. Make them a better young man, and a better football player. In that order...

It's more about 13 of the top 15 players from the state going elsewhere. We've got a top 15 class coming in which will put us about 7th in the SEC. If we'd gotten 5 of the top 15 in state it would be a top 5 class...
What is Saban doing with GA. kids??
#1 classes since '08
'08...bama
'09...bama
'10...UF

Talking about losing 8 out of the top 10 players in Ga, maybe it's not as bad as you think. If those guys WANTED to play for UGA then it wouldn't be an issue. I, for one, would much rather have guys who WANT to play for the Dawgs, vs having to be talked into it. You think Kubs is gonna give 100%? Absolutely! If we had gotten Foster or Tunsil, would they have the buy in and give 100%? I highly doubt it. Murray wanted to come to UGA, Marshall and Gurley wanted to come to UGA, they all WANTED to come to UGA. 100% of a 2 or 3 or 4 star is way better than 70% of any 4 or 5 star player. Bottom line, if you've gotta be talked into it, and you're not about the G to begin with, then get talked into giving your 70% to someone else, we don't need ya, and we will win without ya. Go Dawgs!

I never said we should be like Oregon and Boise St. I u were so Butt hurt why don't u hit the recruiting scene and try and bring in Recruits who is skeptical about playing in their own state.

Because I'm not a coach and am not qualified to be one.
