The QB showdown of the ages is coming up when JFF decides to leave.

Just in general hearing Switzer and Sherrill talk about the option QB on TexAgs radio has me convinced the option QB is the way to go. I can't recall all yhe finer points, but I'm sold. Hope Allen proves me wrong, or Matt Davis/Kenny Hill fends him off long enough for it not to matter.

We just picked up 3* Ath Koda Martin who will probably eventually be an offensive tackle for us.

I viewed what we did last year as traditional air raid. What did you think it was?

A spread offense. Air raid implies pass crazy, and we were 57% pass 43% rush last year. That's way different than say 2007 Texas Tech which was 89% pass or even 2011 UH which was 75% pass.

Didn't Johnny have like 900 yards rushing on scrambles? Which should technically count for passing? I mean, I agree we ran a lot, but we were still 4 and 5 wide a ton of the time. I still consider us an air raid team. You might be right though.

Sumlin absolutely runs the air raid.

I still don't think "air" raid = 57% passing, even if you're counting scrambles, but this is probably all semantics.

Except when he didn't run it at A&M in 2002 or Oklahoma from 2003-2007.

He didn't own the offense at OU most of that time.

What about UH & A&M? Call it the spread, the single back O, the air raid, it is all pretty much the same thing with minor tweaks.

Any of it. It was Kevin Wilson's... Kevin Wilson was calling plays and winning coordinator of the year awards.
