I've said it before but I think he will progress like Mond. He won't be the Heisman level QB he thinks he is, but by the end of his time here he should be very reliable and win us some games

He’s had some spectacular moments so we know he can do it
The Utrans game was confidence shattering for him, hopefully he shakes that off

Could easily be A&M getting awarded the Cotton Bowl Trophy right now, thanks again Marcel. He just needs more time though

Definitely the fault of our QB who was top 5 Heisman odds until the last two games of the season and not the coaching staff that already had two feet out the door

He played well against a bunch of bad teams, when it mattered: 5 turnovers and zero touchdowns in the last two games. He could have easily had another 3 or 4 more turnovers, several dropped interceptions by defenders.

Both Klein and Marcel stunk it up to end each of the last two years. I guess it's easier to blame Klein, though, since we're stuck with Marcel.

Don't the Aggies have to pick up another experienced QB in the portal? Lucky this year there was no injury. And isn't #2 now a redshirt freshman?

Looks like Longstreet is leaning towards going into the portal. Should we look into trying to bring him back in or are we happy with Hart and Caseuga as our QB’s of the future.

Don't want to be a Debbie Downer but that is a redshirt freshman and true freshman. Injuries happen. If for some reason Marcel would go down, you essentially give up your season. A&M needs to get to the point that every two years they hand the reins to the next guy. And if I put that in this thread already, forgive me. But that would be a future NFL quality sophomore or junior taking the reins. Four year starting QBs are not desirable.

Sorry but you’re not going to get a talented QB that’s established to be a backup in this day and age. That senior that we got for this year? He was 4th on our depth chart. The best chance is we can convince someone young to come in on the promise that he will be 1st in line after Reed goes pro next year or roll with what we got.

Well, he better not get injured. Reed isn't going pro after next year. Maybe after year four. And then I guess you pluck the best of the best QB out of the portal then. Kinda like what Kiffen does.

As well as Miami, Indiana, Oregon, Tx Tech, and others. That is the trend for good teams, go out and spend money on QB's that have college experience and are more of a known quantity. There are very few Mannings out there that hit and stick with the team they sign with, you can count on one hand the numbers of top 10 QB's in the last two classes that have not transferred.

Was listening to Charean Williams on Texags this morning. She said if you don't have the right QB, you have no chance at the NC. You have to have the right QB. Marcel has to continue to improve.
