I just think A&M is the better team.

Sure, I don’t disagree. A&M was a better team than Arkansas and they played us right down to the last seconds. LSU is way more talented than Arkansas, that’s all I’m trying to say. LSU isn’t a down and out team that’s fixing to lay down for you at home, you better go in there ready to play

They didn’t play us down to the last few seconds. It was the last few minutes.
Would we have liked the score to have been two touchdowns apart and for Arkansas to have given up completely, sure, but the outcome of that game was settled long before that td at the 10 second mark

Poor clock management by Petrino is the only reason that TD didn’t mean anything, but that’s neither here nor there.

The referees letting Arkansas hold on every play at every position is the only reason we didn’t win comfortably by 17 or more

so has donovan green not been 100% or is treydez green just that much better?

I’m not arguing that their aren’t justifiable reasons that game was close
What I’m trying to do is keep everyone from being surprised that Saturday is going to be a dog fight

I believe in my heart it will absolutely be a dogfight
Win or lose though I believe this team will fight like hell till the last second

He’s mainly a blocker. Committed a killer false start that cost us a TD vs vandy.
And yea TreyDez is legit. Needs to be peppered with targets.

Im sure you’ll be subject to a few tiger baits and maybe the odd drunken fan encounter but the tailgate scene is where visiting fans can enjoy themselves and find hospitality.
Yep. Went in 2013 ready for war and the first tailgate we walked by made us take pictures with her, start drinking, and offered us appetizers apologizing over and over that the jambalaya wasn't ready
Every fanbase has people looking for a fight, but typically if you return light ribbing with light ribbing you'll be drowned with booze and/or food. The worst experience I've ever had I was wearing purple (company shirt) for a LSU/Ole Miss work tailgate and some frat lords tried to push my porta potty over
The key is always to take it in stride and to smile, if they are going over the line just walk away. If they see you getting angry and wanting to return fire then watch your arse. Just have a thick skin and don't be a dick and you will be fine.
As for the game I am about as optimistic as you can be going into a night game at BR. If you could pick 2 players to be out for LSU it would be Weeks and their LT and that's exactly who is hurt. The odds of multiple turnovers from Nuss is pretty high either from a strip sack or throwing under pressure. Without Weeks I think their D is going to struggle with all the looks we can give them.
It's all about emotion with LSU for good and bad. When they are fired up it can feel like trying to stop a tidal wave. When they are down though they can get really down. I agree that the D having the performance they did against Arky works to our favor because it was a lot of missed assignments and hero ball, guys just not staying in their gaps. It wasn't a talent issue. I have no doubt Elko woke them the frick up this week. I also think it is helpful this team played that game at ND and won, they know how to win in a hostile environment.
In the end I think the key is getting off to a good start and running the ball. If we do that I think they just flat out quit and might start booing. If we turn the ball over and let them hang around or get a lead though as the game gets late we can absolutely lose this game. Have to cut off the head of the snake in BR, you can't leave the door open or let it be close enough to let the officials impact the game. You have to beat their arse.

You guys are stacked with four and five star talent from top to bottom
And Kelly may not be the guy to get you to the championship, but he’s not a terrible coach
Plus, it’s at your field at night
This should be a dog fight

You’re right it should but it won’t be. Offense has no identity. True freshman at LT. Aggies win by 14 minimum. I am here for it

Have you and Mrs Crown figured out where the kids are gonna go to college yet?
