If you remember last season, we had a bad habit of losing a lot of midweek games to far lesser opponents.

This season I don't think we've lost a single mid-week game and the only game we lost to a lesser opponent was the season opener. (and maybe the Houston game)

Not sure I'd consider Pepperdine a lesser opponent, nor was it a mid-week game.

I didn't think you were only talking about mid week games since you included UH and the season opener.

Is Pepperdine on the road really a lesser opponent though? Maybe to the 2012 Aggie Baseball team.

I dunno how lesser they may be but they have lost to several games to bad/mediocre teams.

Even if you consider Pepperdine a "lesser" opponent, at this time last year, we had the following losses to lesser opponents:

Holy Cross (home, gave up four runs in the 10th)
UT-Pan American
Kansas State
Missouri (on the Yeast-like call)

Over the course of the season, we then proceeded to lose to the following lesser schools:

UT-Arlington
Kansas
Texas Tech
2 and BBQ in the Big 12 tournament (Missouri, Kansas)

Lobotomy actually tries to say something positive, and everyone argues with him.

At this time last year, we were 23-5 (4-2 in conference) in a much weaker conference.

This year, thusfar, we are 19-11 (5-4 in conference) in the SEC.

We're 5 games worse without Naquin, House, Juengel, Stipling, and Wacha.

Overall encouraging, but the offense has to emerge if we are going to survive in the SEC going forward.

Go figure. Right after I post, we lose the opener to Auburn. Hopefully it's just a hiccup.
