Sorry to hear that, but I know what you mean. Arrogant fans can really make one hate a team ... but surely you aren't rooting for a NY team.
That said, hard not to be impressed with the Mets young gun starters and I can see someone rooting for them if they don't have a horse in the race.

That's three!
Typical Royals baseball. If you can't get to the starter, hang in there and score on the pen then let your pen close out the game (though the Mets made it exciting in the bottom of the 9th).

Baseball will never be my favorite sport, but I LOVE. THIS. TEAM. How about these Kansas City Royals?!
THREE DOWN, 1 TO GO!
THREE DOWN, 1 TO GO!

Baseball was my favorite as a kid, probably because it was the only game we could afford to go to, but football is definitely king now. That said, this team is very fun to watch. Their late inning prowess is quite remarkable. True comeback kings. Let's hope they can take one of the next three.

I called KC in 5 and I'm sticking to it

What a series so far!
These Royals are so fun to watch. 1 game away and with our last 2 starters going < 5.
I earlier thought this would go the same way as the ALCS, so I will not be shocked if the Mets pull one out tonight but I like Volquez to get it done.
LET'S GO ROYALS!

The Spurs' redemption plan calls for a heartbreaking game 7 loss the previous year followed by winning in 5 the next
SA did get to win it in front of the home fans tho since the NBA Finals switched from 2-3-2 to 2-2-1-1-1 in '14.
Either way for KC will be euphoric. Just get it done!!!

I hate the 2-3-2 format

As do I. I think it actually gives the lower*-seeded team an advantage in a streaky sport like baseball. I'm sure they do it to simplify travel.
It is sort of like a mini-series tho and it basically tries to get the "higher" seeded team to win a series on the road, which would usually mean that team is pretty good.
Would be nice to win it all at the K but I'll be very happy with just winning it all
*higher and lower are sort of meaningless here because of the asinine way that MLB decides home field for the WS.

Yup. Did the same in basketball, too.

That was the original purpose, yes. Those logistical concerns are largely a relic of the past, though. Time to ditch the format for good, IMO.

ROYALS BUSTING THE GAME WIDE OPEN IN THE 12TH

That's four!
Yet another Royal comeback. I watched the game at friend's house after church (thus the very belated post) and after the top of the 6th he commented it didn't look like it was the Royals night.
I said "sure it is, we're just setting things up:
- we're going to give them another run, so we can set the comeback record (seven post-season wins after trailing by 2+ runs),
- then we're going to knock out their starter in the 8th or 9th,
- then we're going to knock their closer out of the game, giving him a record of his own (3 blown saves in a World Series),
- then we're going to go ahead in extra innings
- and lastly, we're going to bring in Wade Davis to slam the door."
That was probably 80% hope and 20% belief, but fortunately, the Royals obliged. I still can't believe Hosmer tried to score on that little grounder, but their scouting report said " If the opportunity ever arose to test the arm of David Wright at third or Lucas Duda at first, take it."
Trailing by one with two outs in the 9th, what a bold time to take it! What a night! What a season!

#HEYHEYHEYHEY
That game was amazing! These Royals never quit - I watched with my brother and we both just kept saying 3rd time through the order and we'll get to Harvey. Then LoCain walked and stole 2nd and Hosmer's double was enough to get it going! and OF COURSE Salvy gets that error from Duda - Salvy has been involved in almost every big moment in the playoffs these last 2 years.
This is sweeter than all the Spurs NBA Championships for me. What time to be alive!!

I thought the same, tbh.
Was already well down the road of steeling myself for a game 6 when the 7th inning ended.
Not one ounce of quit in this Kansas City team. Last year or this year

I can't say the same, but I've been a Spurs fan since '91, and only started rooting for KC in 2012, so it's a little different. Plus, SA is home.
But damn it's been cool to see the rise of the Royals. May their rein be long and prosperous!!!
