aww hell naw. the maple trees and hills driving from from fredricksburg to vanderpool are pretty nice. other than that, there is no basis for your comparison.

The rest of West Texas is garbage though.

So does the Guadalupe Mountains if you hike high enough in some areas.

But I agree, the rest of West Texas (as in Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, etc.) is garbage and depressing. Anything West of Fort Stockton is OK. El Paso is unique, not necessarily good or bad...just unique. Feels nothing like Texas tbh

Palo Duro?????


I know some of y'all are young and it's a long drive but Palo Duro is very nice and Big Bend is incredibly beautiful.

I did a 3 day canoe / camping trip there. I saw 0 trees.
