Good Bull Hunting wrote an excellent recap of Wednesday's game. LINK

With Caruso under the basket, a pick is set for Jordan Green and he flashes hard to the rim. MU's Ross deflects the pass, saves the ball, and Mizzou runs the clock out in front of a delirious home crowd.

Surely, after the refs convene they will give A&M the ball on the opposite mark, right?
Nope. This ball game was over. After another extended replay session the refs jog off the court, leaving a stunned A&M squad to stumble their way through the handshake line.

Beat Auburn, lose in the first round in Atlanta = 18-14. A massive 1/2 game improvement over last year.

As a side note...on Senior Day, the late Tobi O will be honored as well. Props to the Athletic Dept./Basketball program for doing this.
One wonders what our fortunes might have been with Tobi O as part of our front line.

Auburn wins 69-64.
Now 17-14 on the year. Could finish EXACTLY 17-15.

So does he get another year? I feel like he might.

I can't see him getting another year. We haven't improved at all in three years and there's no reason to believe we would next year.

It's not even about results. Just from a monetary standpoint, I can't see bringing him back. He's lost all fan interest. Senior Day Attendance: 5,488. And they were letting people in for free.
Avg attendance the year before he was hired was over 9k incl the bs non-conf slate. Last year's avg had dropped to 6300. I don't know about this year's but it's likely hovering below 5k. Next year would likely be worse which seems almost impossible.
Side note: The WBB's senior day attendance this year: 6,631

If only it worked when money concerning me was involved.

About half way through the season I didn't think there was a chance he'd be back, but now I'm not sure. Let's just say I won't be shocked if hyman does nothing.

I honestly think they keep him

If they keep him, they have to extend him. A coach not extended one year before his contract expires is a lame duck.

This is what gives me hope. The only real choices are extend him or fire him, as keeping him without an extension would mark him as a lame duck and legitimately hurt the program. I can't see him getting an extension with the three years of crap he's served up, and I'm at least fairly confident that Hyman won't do something as dumb as give him another year without an extension, so that leaves "fire." If he had a six year contract, I wouldn't feel nearly as confident about his termination, but with only two years left on his contract, I think he's gone.
Am I off-base? You simply can't have a struggling coach playing in his second to last year because no recruit is going to commit to him. And you can't give a guy like Kennedy, who's made zero improvement in 3 years, a contract extension. It seems like there's no alternative to fire that doesn't involve a very dumb business decision.

Jamal Jones is hot-blooded. Check it and see, he's got a fever of one hundred and three.
As a result, our top scorer may be unavailable for the Missouri game. The Eagle

quote:
“Hopefully we’ll have Jamal practice tomorrow. Maybe he will be able to play Thursday, that’s what we are hoping on now,” Kennedy said. “Our post guys [Kourtney Roberson and Antwan Space] got to step up and we have Fabyon [Harris], he’s got to have a heck of a game. Kennedy said. We are going to fight, I love our guys fight, and we will be excited to play. Obviously it’s not what you want but there have been a lot of things we didn’t want and all you can do is deal with the hand you are dealt and our guys have done a good job of doing that.”

I hope he doesn't leverage the losses during the last 5-6 games into another year. We saw more than enough during the first 20ish games to shitcan him

Auburn just fired their coach.

I don't think we can fire Tony Barbee.
