I think the 2012/2013 classes sunk him in the end. I haven't followed recruiting that long, but 2012 was perhaps the most unlucky class I have ever seen. And 2013 will probably be remembered as the worst recruiting class ever by an A&M team. He never recovered from his inability to capitalize on early momentum with those classes.
