Question about local sports reporting. It's obvious tonight that Looch and BZ are not part of Fisher's circle. I'm guessing they were getting info from second level people in the AD's office. If you are Fisher, are you upset how a lot of A&M negotiations went public today? If yes, what does Fisher do about it, if anything?

BZ rarely reports anything until its official and his report was the one that ignited everything today. i mean, what motivation does he have to be the "scoop monster"? he works for a freaking newspaper. to answer your question, dont think the media was to blame here. and billy still doesnt know jack shite

I can’t imagine that any media type in Texas is part of Fisher’s inside circle yet.

I’ve actually been surprised at how undercover(?) this entire DC search has managed to remain, so I’m not sure why Fisher would be upset; nothing leaked until the final day.
BZ may have been first, but LSU media was responsible for as much as/more than any maroon publication was.

I’m with Uncle G ... few people appeared to know much of anything this time.

I don't know BZ's situation, but newspaper reporters absolutely are under a ton of pressure to keep up with online-only media, and it's been that way for a while. There was a wave of exits from the Chronicle several years ago over the click counters gaining too much control of content.

The tricky thing with stories like this is who do you consider a credible source? Is it the high up booster who's really sure we reeled in our guy? Is it the university official who says he's just waiting on the contract? Is it the official at the other school who says there's no way their guy is leaving? Do you trust the agent who's playing both schools off each other? Being first is a good way to look foolish when there are so many potential conflicting sources on a fluid situation.
