Old Sarge, have you heard anything about Tony Franklin?
He's already made a trip to the state to interview for an OC position. I wonder if Sumlin had some under-the-radar interview while he was nearby.

And as far as I can tell, his 3 yr/550K contract ends this year. Can't find anything about an extension.

A few people on Texags said Meachum had signed a contract extension a few weeks ago. Was that just pure speculation and wishing on your part Sarge?

Yup, as much a CGSC wants it to happen now. NOTHING is going to happen until after January 1st!!

I think I am past the melting stage.
Like a star that has gone supernova, I have exploded in a huge burst noticed throughout the galaxy and now possess no more fuel to continue the melting process.

The fact that Spavital was not let go the day after the LSU loss means that Sumlin is dragging his feet and hoping that the decision makers give up.

I don't disagree with this at all. But, there are reasons for him doing so.
1) Spav is his guy, and wants to do what's best for him. i.e. bowl game bonus
2) Contracts expire tonight.
Do I agree with number 1, no... but that' his guy and he's going to do what's best for him. Which is inevitably churning the coals with people who are ready to fire him.
