Seems pretty shitty to ditch Hagen after the defense showed improvement

The D line had been slowly improving under Coach Price before Hagen was even assigned to the line. Hagen still has a job because...well, honestly I don't know why. Some say that coaching the Defensive line had always been his true calling, but honestly I'm not sure. He should have been let go last year. Instead he was given mercy for maintaining such a craptastic stock of linebackers. I guess he was given a pass due to recruits not making it to A&M and some getting kicked off the team. I think this off season we will know who will make it on defense and who won't. Chavis didn't get time to put a proper staff together and he isn't going to put up with half-assed coaching.

The line was consistently weak in the middle. It took him until near the end of the year to play Mack and Henderson more than Williams and Obioha.

Linebackers can't be solely responsible for w bottom 20 Rush Def. it takes teamwork to be ghat bad.

Hagan doesn't coach linebackers. He coaches defensive tackles.

We don't need 2 DL coaches when 1 can't recruit or coach.

At this point, I am starting to accept that Spavital is going to be the OC for the bowl game.

That win streak was a nice little side dish for the Sumlin Era. Its going to be sad to watch Spavital take that from us too.

That's what I was saying. Everyone thinks the weak spot was just LB, but DT were very inconsistent.

A post like this is what I'm talking about when I say you guys create your own reality and pass it off as fact.

Mack is a fricking freshman. You really think he was ready to take the bulk of the snaps at the start of the year? Really? Also Zaycoven had to work his way back into the staff's good graces after getting his arse suspended early in the year.

These kids aren't robots on Playstation that you can just plug in whenever you want. They have to earn their playing time by doing things like follow team rules, learn the playbook, study hard in the film room, and work out to gain the strength needed to last an entire season in the SEC.

What about Deshawn Washington?

What about Reggie Chevis, who Hagan alienated as a linebacker and then got moved to DT only to get put back under the very coordinator he didn't mesh with?

I won't ask about Justin Manning, because he was hurt again and will probably not play another down with this staff.

Those are all stretched and not good examples.

Hagan needs to go because he simply doesn't fit in the staff. Chief coaches the linebackers he always has. Price is a great DL coach and likely better than Hagan, so there's really no need to separate the position like we have and notably few major programs do this.

We would be better off getting an elite recruiter like Kevin Steele to come in as a safety coach or as an a DT coach like Hagan is now, and making their sole job to build roster depth with elite talent.

That's basically Mckinley's job on offense, which is of course why he should also be fired.

Let's see: Lousy coach, crappy recruiter, overpaid...looks like he fits Kevin Sumlin's staff JUST FINE.

So what, Chevis couldn't get on the field because he was pouting? That's not on Hagen

From that fateful day...

...when stinking bits of slime first crawled from the sea that was the Big Twatever Conference otherwise known as SWC 2.0...

...and shouted to the cold stars of football relevance, "I am AGGY," our greatest dread has always been the knowledge of our program's own mortality.

But tonight!!!!

We shall HURL the gauntlet of Aggy Speculation into the frightful face of shitty football itself.

Tonight!!!!

We shall ascend into the gridiron heavens.

Tonight!!!!

We shall mock the football gods and discard the monkey anus, donkey semen, yak abortion that Mr. Spavtacular calls an offense!

Tonight!!!!

We shall command the power that be, and penetrate into the very womb of impervious football offense herself!!!!

Was that a little too dramatic?
