All 4 of those in 2016 are due to knights injury and the qb transfers.

Good thing Trevor knight fell into our Laps.

It still falls on Sumlin. He has no one to blame but himself for putting himself in that situation.

So giving up 54 points to LSU and almost 300 yards to Guice was because Knight was hurt? I guess I missed where he played linebacker.

Kyler Murray is on everyone. That little shite fricked us good. He had the entire fanbase and all the BMAs going nuts on Sumlin b/c he decided to open himself to going to Texas at the last minute. There wasn't a single Aggie who could handle losing an undefeated state champ son of the former GOAT Aggie QB so we all came down on Sumlin like an avalanche screaming to the hills that Kyler must not be lost under any circumstances. Sumlin should have told the fanbase, the BMAs, and Murray to piss off right then and there.

Instead, he was essentially forced by our BMAs and fanbase to go hat in hand begging and let a prima donna brat force his way into auto PT when we already had a skittish QB who was looking to transfer when he wasn't named starter as a true fish. Everyone should have seen that is was a disaster in the making but b/c that little shite picked Texas to flirt with nobody was willing to see how obvious it was that he was straight rat poison for the team.

Kyler is a lesson for everyone. Let the coach pick his players and don't let emotions get in the way, fanbase demands and bloodline be damned. How many people actually paid attention to that class I wonder?

Damn that list is sobering....but accurately sums up why I don’t think he will ever win a championship here and needs to go. Just disgusting we are paying a guy a top 10 salary with a resume like that.....

Yes in hindsight Kyler was a huge mistake, but you’re kidding yourself if you think there ever was any option than bending over backwards and doing whatever he and his dad demanded.

Even I will give sumlin that the little sh** had him by the balls. You can’t not sign a 5 star, undefeated in high school, legacy QB, and potentially lose him to your most hated in state rival. Doesn’t matter if sumlin saw his flaws and issues beforehand, perception is everything and if Kyler had not signed with us it would’ve been major deal.

Well, let's see:

Christian Kirk, Kingsley Keke, Keaton Sutherland, Connor Lanfear, Justin Evans, Damion Ratley, Claude George, Erik McCoy, Landis Durham, and Daniel LaCamera either were or are multi-year starters.

Daylon Mack, Larry Pryor, Kemah Siverand, Kendall Bussey, Deshawn Capers-Smith, Jake Hubenak, and Riley Garner have had significant playing time.

Justin Dunning has been hampered by injuries and position changes, Roney Elam and T.D. Moton haven't really panned out, and the rest either transferred or medically retired.

17/27 with the possibility of 20/27 is a pretty good hit rate for a recruiting class.

No, not the recruiting class as a whole.

The class in not letting the program get jerked around by a recruit into doing something we should all know is going to end in disaster.

Again, what happened with Kyler is a lesson. Did enough people pay attention during class to remember it in the future the next time a recruit pulls Kyler-esque crap during recruitment?

Columbus Crew might move there. Austin will finally have a real sports team.

Would be great. If San Antonio gets a team then we can have a 4 team Lone Star Derby.

Is soccer even popular in Austin or SA? Because the Houston Dynamo have the 6th lowest attendance in MLS and Dallas is dead last.

The Dallas Beer Guardians will create the Lone Star Cup immediately following the announcement to move to Austin.

Portland, Vancouver, and Seattle have the Cascadia Cup. 3 way rivalry trophy done by the supporters of each team. Most points in matches between the 3 teams wins.

We will have this in Texas if Austin does get a team.

Not sure what the problem is with Houston but FCD's attendance woes are directly related to the Hunt's being terribly cheap owners who do jack and shite to promote the team. Also, Toyota Stadium lost something like 5k seats this season while the National Soccer Hall of Fame is being built.

If Sumlin goes 9-3 or better this year then I'll be convinced he has what it takes. Anything less then that is up for debate.

I know a lot of people that were turned off by Murray and his dad early on in the recruiting process. Personally I thought he was too short to play QB in the day of the 6’5+ lineman. Just no way he can see downfield. I didn’t think Murray had a chance of beating out Kyle Allen and thought Allen was going to be a 2-3 year starter even with Kyler on the team. The hype on Murray was ridiculously over the top. Also seemed to be a lot of people thinking he was the lynch pin for the recruiting class.

Like I said back in Feb 2014 [quote]If we are relying on a 17 year old kid to hold our recruiting clas together then we are doing something wrong/quote]

The mishandling of Kenny Hill, kyler Murray, Kyle Alleny, and, the loss of recruits such as Tate because of our turmoil pointed to a situation where patients seemed to be running the asylum. I just can’t Imagine any scenario where a very good college coach falls into these types of situations. This was one of the reasons I shook my head at Sumlin. Honestly think it took him a few years but he learned not to do this shite anymore. Our program is bigger than ANY 17 year old recruit. As stated before, I don’t think we should have been paying someone $5M a year to learn how to manage recruits. What’s done is done.

We seem to have gotten rid of most of the off field/recruiting turmoil. Maybe Chavis has been a stabilizing factor, who knows. Now it is down to Xs and Os for me.

The stadium is in Frisco. That's like Dynamo playing in Texas City.
