I will say that something good came out of this stupidity.
I became curious today about a couple of my old units, so I looked on Wikipedia. I was able to correct some inaccuracies about accounts of our OIF deployments and found out that I'm owed a valorous unit award that was finally approved 5+ years after my unit left Iraq. (For the record, anyone in 3rd Brigade, 4 ID during OIF 1 is owed a VUA as of May 2009)

I assume you were getting paid or would receive some form of credit for your research above and beyond the mere discredit of your non-rival's lore?

Are you kidding me? How do you think most Generals are able to take credit for publishing TMs and FMs? Off the backs of Majors.
It did land me a published article though, surprisingly enough. While minor in scope, I still can claim that I'm a "published author".

Actually, I'm published in a newspaper article in the Colorado Springs Gazette from June 2003 (I think it was titled "Ft Carson unit received combat insignia") and the Army Recruiter Journal in April 2010 (regarding how a commander's attitude determines the mark he/she leaves).

Didn't he post on Shaggy that it was all just a big troll to show that A&M is a cult and that he had accomplished his mission? I think that was around the same time TA posters outed him.

Simple 3 minute steps to setup a proxy if you're interested.
ETA: I find it funny that even if he registers over here he can't get on our board to post. He just has to watch.

Honestly didn't think the thread would blow up like this. It'll die in a day or two. I think everyone is just interested because of Seattle getting so much press this week.
