Gentlemen (and EKG),
Who out of this most recent class do you think will play in this upcoming season?
Here's my take
Haynes King: He'll play 3-4 games and redshirt UNLESS he is able to unseat Mond.
Devon Achane: He'll be our starting returner and play every game.
Darvon Hubbard/Deondre Jackson: Both will play at least four games. Who ultimately redshirts will depend on how they perform when they play,
Demond Demas: He'll be a starter by game 3.
Muhsin Muhammad: He'll play a lot in the slot
Devin Price: He'll play 1-3 games and redshirt
Blake Smith: Unless Glenn Beal has learned to catch a pass in the flat, Smith will play every game.
Offensive Linemen: Of the linemen, only Akinola Ogunbiyi, Josh Bankhead and Chris Morris will play enough games not to redshirt. One might start, but I'm not sure.
Fadil Diggs/Donell Harris: Both will play a lot, one will eventually start.
Braeden Mowry: Will play a lot
McKinnley Jackson: Will play a lot
Isaiah Raikes/Dallas Walker: Will play, but will redshirt
Antonio Doyle/Edgerrin Cooper: Will both play a lot.
Jaylon Jones: Will start by conference play
Brian George: Will play a lot
A.J. Johnson: Will play a lot
Joshuah Moten: Will play but redshirt

I pretty much agree except at OL and maybe TE. I don't see more than 1 freshman OL playing much, probably none play more than 4 games.
If Cupp comes back 100%, I could see Smith redshirting, he sounds like a blocker first. I would think Beal should be more ready for that role.
I like the influx of athletes for special teams. We need it.

Based on how much of the 2019 class redshirted and how many seniors we have, I believe we will see a good portion of this class redshirt.
Offensively, I think we see the QB/TE/OL groups all redshirt with the possible exception of Chris Morris. I also believe Price and Muhammad will both redshirt and one of Jackson/Hubbard. That leaves Demas and Achane and one other RB as the three guys of 14 offensive recruits that will not redshirt.
Defensively, I believe we have the luxury this year to redshirt almost everyone if needed. But Jackson, Jones, and Johnson are all way too talented to not work their way into the rotation and possible a starting spot. I believe those three, along with one DE (Diggs, Harris, or Mowry), one LB (Doyle or Cooper), and probably Brian George will also not redshirt. That makes 6 of our 13 defensive recruits that I think will not redshirt.

My takes
Haynes King:Redshirt, playing a few snaps in blowouts, he is still very raw and needs more time.
Devon Achane: Kickoff returns, push for punt returns, should get a decent amount of carries.
Darvon Hubbard/Deondre Jackson: Both redshirt, get a few carries in blow outs
Demond Demas: Plays a lot, starter on the outside a few games in
Muhsin Muhammad: In rotation for slot
Devin Price: Redshirt
Blake Smith: Redshirt
Offensive Linemen: All redshirt
Fadil Diggs/Donell Harris: Hopefully one of them can provide a pass rush on 3rd downs, other one redshirts.
Braeden Mowry: redshirt
McKinnley Jackson: Heavy in rotation by end of year.
Isaiah Raikes/Dallas Walker: Both redshirt
Antonio Doyle/Edgerrin Cooper: Cooper redshirts, chance Doyle will also unless he breaks into Specials teams roll
Jaylon Jones: Plays, push for starting over other Jones
Brian George: Plays, in CB rotation
A.J. Johnson: Good chance for a redshirt.

Remember, you can play up to 4 games and still redshirt.
