So, if I understand the news right, for all fall sports, football included, players get an extra year of eligibility. Who do you want to come back? I'm almost inclined to say bring everyone back and wreck all our opponents. We've got one of the more veteran teams, maybe it would benefit us again if lots of players came back?

No. We need them to move on.

Ehh not sure it's that black and white. There are absolutely some players or positions where the team would benefit by players returning for an extra year.

I’m pretty sure the ruling was that you only retain eligibility if you participate in less than half the season. That’s obviously subject to change, but at this point, I think you would rather have everything stay as normal as possible.

Schools are already cash strapped. Extending scholarships in football by 20 or 25 would mean even more sports would get cut around the country.

Ok. I thought it was that you got eligibility regardless of playing time. I may have misunderstood it.
