Day one treated up pretty good. No signees or underclassmen left. None of the SRs were expected to go so no big deal they didn't.

Today will be very important. Draft resumes at 1 pm.

Out of Eligibility
Palish - hopefully today (day 2)
Rock
Claunch
Kaler

Expected to be drafted/sign as a FA
Dallas
Moo

Underclassmen to Watch
Werner - biggest one to keep an eye on
Bost - expected to return, but some risk
Minnich - expected to return
Thompson - expected to return

Incoming Transfers to Watch
Garcia (LHP from Quinnipiac) - most likely to go.
Tucker (INF from New Mexico JUCO) - some risk
Lambert (RHP from USC) - expected to make it to campus

High School Signees to Watch
LaViolette - the fact he didn't go day 1 is a very good thing.
Lamkin - 2nd most likely
Kent - low risk
Vossos - low risk
Davenport - low risk

Zero selections from the list above so far, correct?

Correct. We're getting deep enough that teams will need to go well above slot to even get our guys to consider.

Dallas goes. He was never coming back so good for him. I was worried he'd fall to tomorrow and not at all.

Draft pretty much went about as well as it could. Time to make another run in 2023.

Draft resumes

Farme4, thanks for the write up. Normally, I try to prep a bit before the draft and follow as the draft proceeds. However, I didn't do any prep this year and barely had time to follow round 1, so I appreciate your homework!! Thanks!

Happy for the guys who got picked, but also happy things fell pretty well for our 2023 chances!

The bad news is that Palish, Moo, and Claunch have not gone yet and we only have 3 rounds left.

The good news is Bost announced he's coming back and we have not been impacted negatively in any way thus far.

A lot of teams have been hit pretty hard by the draft. It's going to be very interesting who signs and who doesn't.

Moo gets drafted by the Reds in the 20th round! One of the last 15 picks in the draft.

Back in the day, they would have heard their names called, but now the draft has "only" 20 rounds, it's a bit tougher. I thought the CWS might have improved the chances Palisch would get picked.

I think Claunch may get passed over, but I'm guessing someone will pick him up and they'll be happy they did. At this point, maybe it's better to not get picked so he can pick where he goes.

Claunch has some sort of agreement with the White Sox

I'm guessing we made the winners list, or at least avoided the losers list

If the pitching is good this year, sky is the limit for Schloss' team
