I’ve not been Weigman’s fan since he started, but we should start him next game

- Reed is a freshman. Putting Freshman QBs as the starter often doesn’t work out well.
- Connor is inconsistent, but when he’s good he is good.
That’s all I’ve got.

While I tend to agree, I'm worried about the portal. Weigman is a 5-star that either plays like a 5-star or sucks. Reed is a 4-star that consistently plays like a 4-star. Plus, Reed is a better fit for how Klein likes to do things. I hate to say it because I was one of the biggest Weigman sunshine pumpers, but I'd rather lose Weigman to the portal than Reed. I'm afraid that if we roll with Weigman after how well Marcel has played, he'll hit the portal and get snatched-up immediately.

I haven't been Conners biggest fan by a long shot but I wouldn't hate it if on a short leash, gives the opposing D staff more to prepare for. Its hard to make it through a season with only one qb now a days, wrecking Conners confidence isn't in the best interest of the team down the road. Reed being a coaches son probably puts him in a position to understand the big picture better than most.

Yep. I’m prettyconflicted on how the ags won last night, and moving forward.
On the one hand it was a great win, but it required pulling your starting qb, and going with a running qb that lsu clearly wasn’t prepared for. We’ve seen how teams have played against Reed with a week of preparation. The offense looked stagnant. On the other hand, you never know which Weigman is going to show up. I’d feel a lot better moving forward had it been a massive turnaround from Weigman in the second half to beat lsu, but that’s not what happened.
Ultimately if you think the line is going to give the qb time to throw against South Carolina I’d go with Weigman. If he’s going to get pressured a lot I’d probably go with Reed. But yeah, if Elko goes with Weigman I can only imagine how pissed reed would be after the game he just had
