I alluded to this a while back, but I'm hearing that against all odds and physician predictions Bradford is expected to be cleared for full contact drills by this summer. He's still with the team and is working out though not practicing yet.

Glad he is beating the odds.

Barring any setbacks he will likely be slowly worked in during fall practice and increase his contact activity throughout the season. Don't expect much PT this season but he could get in a few carries by season's end.

With as deep we are getting at RB, does he have a real shot?

I know he has speed for days, do we look at him as a return type, possible slot guy?

We really aren't that deep. Keith Ford has never been a feature back, White hasn't done much with his chances and is injury prone, Bussey is coming off a major knee injury and never played a down, Williams is a true freshman and Boyd isn't gonna qualify.

None of our backs are proven and Bradford is the fastest player on campus. He'll play if healthy, absolutely.

The Bradfords specifically asked that Jay's condition not be released/discussed.

Boyd was always a grade risk, as was Robinson.

I knew that, but I thought as things progressed most felt good about him getting in no problem.

thanks guys. I think the topic is a great one but we just need to be careful in how it's broached

that's not the feeling. He may get in, but it's certainly iffy.

However, this isn't a Lampkin/Fowler type of situation where he hasn't completed the core classes and thus has no shot.

Regardless. I still feel very good about our backs and think Bradford will have a hell of a time cracking PT even if healthy.

To me Keith Ford is in the mold of top tier backs. I think we have someone very very good if not quite special. After that White looks serviceable and I really like our young group of Bussey (assuming his recovery went well), Williams, and Boyd (if he gets in).

He's a long enough shot that given out history with players like him I feel comfortable saying he won't make it.

Id give give it a 10% chance

Ford has a fumbling problem that hopefully has been corrected.

We have a lot of potential at RB. If we get the OL in shape I don't think RB will be a problem personally.
