QB: It's obvious at this point that Weigman is a level above both King and Calzada.

HB: Spiller is gone for the draft so Achane takes over.

WR: It doesn't really matter who plays WR if the QB can't throw.

TE: Wydermyer is gone. Cupp is a myth at this point.

OT: Green is gone so unless Fatheree stays as a starter we're replacing both tackles.

OG: Probably keeping both

C: Foster needs to get better

DL: Leal, Peevy, Clemons and Johnson are all gone. 3 are seniors and Leal to the draft. That's 4 new starters on the DL

LB: Hansford is gone so we're replacing another undersized MLB.

DB: O'Neal and George are seniors. Demani Richardson is probably gone for the draft so that's 3 starters.

2022 will be another rebuilding year.

Who cares? Jimbo's play calling sucks and as long as he refuses to give up the reigns we are going to play close/lose games to inferior teams.

In a one score game Spiller had just ONE TOUCH (a check down pass late in the 4th) after his TD run with 7:50 left in the third. That is flat out unacceptable. Forgetting about players and just "running the offense" isn't a fluke either.

Never mind he's had "NFL talent" Calzada on the team 3 years and the guy looks like a deer in the headlights missing open WRs all over the place b/c he is too scared to step up into the pocket.

Achane and Spiller had 1 combined carry after the Spiller TD run...an 8 yard run by Achane.

Fisher flat out LIED in the press conference when asked why they didn't run the ball after the Spiller TD run. He claimed "they were stopping it". ONE frickING CARRY FOR 8 YARDS.

Doing the math, we MIGHT return 10 starters if Jackson isn't convicted this spring.

The only good news is that, out of those 10 starters, 4 will be offensive linemen.

I think we're going to look up in 2023 and have a really salty OL. Obviously it isnt ideal right now but the experience will pay off down the road. Would love to see it this year and next year but who knows

All I know is we shouldn't being in year 4 with a $9m coach saying year 5 is going to be a rebuilding year but we're really going to be good in year 6. That's not good ROI. At this point we're going to have to hope that Jimbo is like Dabo and can get on a roll by year 8.

I mostly just meant the fact that foster has seen a lot of time as a freshman and fatheree as well could be big in the future on just experience alone
As for Jimbo, you'll have to forgive me if I don't jump off the ledge with you just yet

Here's a future Texags Premium post for August 202X:

quote:

-there is a quiet confidence building in Bright this offseason. Players realize last year was not living up to our culture's standards.
-Our two 202x o-linemen recruits look the part. (insert name) has put on 20 pounds. (insert name) has coaches buzzing and could push for a role as a backup tackle.
-four of our offensive linemen have 13 starts under their belt as a unit. They will be much more physical and cohesive this year.
-I expect (insert name) to be better this year. His route running and blocking have looked better this summer in practice.
-we lost (insert names of all starters lost), but I expect us to be salty this year because we have a lot of "hungry young talent eager to prove themselves."
-11-1 is our ceiling this year if the o-line comes together like we think it will, and (projected QB starter) builds some synergy in the out of conference games.

I don't understand how grown men will pay hard currency for that kind of sunshine to be constantly blown up their asses.
