Foster started one year in HS as QB his senior year. His stats:

Pass yards: 2426, Pass yards/game: 242.6, Avg: 14.8, Comp: .661, TD: 28, INT: 3, QBR: 130.5
Rush yards/game: 44.6, TD:10

Let's compare that with Mond his senior year and the top two QB's in 2018 Lawrence and Fields

Mond
Pass yards: 1803, Pass yards/game: 180.3, Avg: 18.2, Comp: .556, TD: 19, INT: 3, QBR: 119.2
Rush yards/game: 75.7, TD:17

Fields
Pass yards: 1417, Pass yards/game: 202.4, Avg: 17.5, Comp: .638, TD: 18, INT: 2, QBR: 134.7
Rush yards/game: 131.4, TD:13

Lawrence
Pass yards: 3290, Pass yards/game: 274.2, Avg: 18.7, Comp: .690, TD: 41, INT: 1, QBR: 149.6
Rush yards/game: 18.5, TD:2

Obviously there is no guarantee Foster will be good but I think Fisher does have a capable QB on campus and hopefully we get to see him at least some these last three games

I’ve saud since we signed him Foster was the QB Jimbo wanted, but he didn’t want to throw him to the wolves and ruin him as a freshman. He could absolutely win the job this offseason.

I think he was pretty damn underrated since he seemed unknown until his senior year

Why not give him a shot against Ole Miss and UAB?

I think he probably doesn't have Jimbo's system down at this time. I would love to see him outplay Mond in the spring. If not, we need a grad transfer option.

If we have a comfortable lead I could see it. I doubt he would start this season any game though, you don't want to ruin a true freshman QB's confidence by putting him in if he isn't ready yet

No reason to do so.

- injury risk
- needs a full year learning the system.
- will show Mond and starkel they’re gone next season

Let him get a full year of practice and development.

I'm tired of everything being the future. Allen is the future. Starkel is the future. Mond is the future.

Can we get a QB whose balls have dropped?! No fricking leadership since Trevor Knight.
