Conversation with Elite 11 QB coach

FWIW...
Was watching the football game yesterday and one of the Elite 11 coaches struck up a conversation with me about my A&M hat.
In short he said that Kyle Allen's struggles weren't Spavital's fault. He said Allen always had issues with his vision and hitting "windows". He was surprised that both QBs left, but he said it made sense if Sumlin just wanted to demote Spavital back to QB coach and not fire him.
He also said that Nick Starkle was a "beast" on and off the field, but needed a year to redshirt before college ball. He also said that he didn't know what to think of Martell, because he was "too raw". Also said that Trevor Knight would start and flourish with Mazzone.
He said that Mazzone was and absolute "rock-star" hire and QB's are going to want to play for him. He also had a bunch of great things to say about Aaron Moorehead.

Good info. I wish the reporters covering the program could push that narrative.

I'm excited about Mazzone. He should be a massive improvement over Spavital.
