Did anyone else notice that the Fiesta Bowl is no longer sponsored by Tostitos?

It's now the Battlefrog Fiesta Bowl.

Not entirely. At the end of the day, the most important defensive stat is Scoring Defense, and they only sit 2 positions apart.

I agree that holding your opponent's offense to less points than your own offense scores is the most important thing.

But when comparing 2 teams that play at 2 different paces, against 2 different schedules, looking at just raw total number can be misleading.

Auburn's defense gave up 5.54 yds per play
USC's defense gave up 6.03

That is a huge difference, even amongst 2 bad defenses. To say that they were equal defenses ignores a ton of information that says otherwise.

That makes me sad. Something about big changes like that after so long make me sad. Maybe because I'm getting older at an accelerating rate.

You think you're old? I remember when bowls didn't have corporate sponsors, period.

If they somehow went back to just a few bowls, it would be amazing to see the competition for those spots

It was a big deal back then to be chosen for a bowl, conference Champs went to a regional bowl and each bowl committee picked their opponents if I remember correctly.

Never really did say they were equal. Just referencing how much they both sucked and how this was not KM first game against an SEC defense (albeit a terrible one)

I still call bowls by their original names. frick the Sponsors. It's Fiesta Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl, Alamo Bowl, and Texas Bowl.

In the case the sponsor was it's original name or it's original name is too old to be remembered, I call the bowls by the city/state they are in, like the Tampa Bowl, Idaho Bowl, or the Charlotte Bowl.

The only exception is the Peach Bowl...I'll call them Chick-fil-a bowl from time to time because Chick-fil-a is awesome.

So my wife has lupus and fibromyalgia. This causes her to be weak in her joints and general achiness as well as other effects. However, she is very concerned with personal safety i.e. wanting a chl. I have been looking and looking for the perfect pistol for her that will also be more easily handled with her issues. I thought I had found it with the walther ccp. But she says it does not work for her. Anyone have an recs for a smallish pistol that is really light on the recoil?

She says it does not feel right in her hands. Like as in she picked it up and was immediately like nope this won't work.

Take her to Gander Mountain, they have hundreds to pick up and feel. I went there yesterday just to windowshop as I've been considering a handgun

As South Park showed last night, if we all had guns, we could easily solve our problems.

LSU fans getting downright trashy. I made a "check in if your school has a Heisman in the past 50 years thread"

Some butthurt LSU fan...
