I really was only half-paying attention to this Baylor fiasco before today. I read the TM article and all and it sounded awful but I assumed they painted it in the worst possible light. Then Briles went before the media this morning and said he knew nothing of the kid's past and specifically said he asked Petersen about it and the kid was just depressed and wanted to go home

Briles is going to be in some really deep shite if someone on the Baylor side confirms they knew about it. I don't know if that ever happens though and there won't be anything concrete. fricking Baylor has to be one of the dirtiest athletic departments in the country

Chris Petersen has no reason to lie about this whatsoever. He not only booted the kid, he doesn't even work at Boise any longer.
Briles could have just looked dirty as frick and said nothing. Instead, he just blew this story up 10 fold. The national media, not just sports media, is going to go crazy. I honestly think there's a good chance he gets fired, even at Baylor

I absolutely think he knew and Peterson is telling the truth, I don't think Baylor will cave easily though. It would be nuts if he got fired though

With the degree that their entire fanbase is now all the sudden sold on football, I just don't see this happening. Especially after the new football stadium

I've said it before and I'll say it again Briles is not a nice person and has a win at all costs attitude. He was one of the biggest problems for the image of Texas High School Football and now he's Baylors problem.

Yeah they are going to do everything they can to protect that. It looks terrible on them all around though and they will get neg recruited like crazy from this I would think. I'm glad Briles is being exposed for the piece of shite that he is

There was already going to be a Title IX investigation. Based on Briles comments this morning there will likely be an NCAA investigation (what did he know, what did he communicate - lack of institutional control). Baylor as an institution is going to get crucified in the media.
They are going to dig up the Dunn incident. They are going to dig into Tevin Elliot situation (in which if I'm not mistaken, Baylor's Title IX investigation also found no cause). It's going to get really really ugly
