There's nothing that can save Sumlin from the inevitability of 2017 except to fire him now.

Can't just fire a DC, no DC worth a shite would ever come here. It all goes or nothing at all, and I dunno about y'all but I can't spend other people's money for them. 2017 and 2018 are complete lost causes if we don't fire him now, but nothing we can do unless some BMA with more money than sense decides to spend 15 million buying out a goddamn CFB coach. My advice is to find a new hobby

I think Jim Leavitt at CU is very gettable actually. If the higher ups could look past why he was fired at USF he wouldn't be the worst HC replacement either...


I'm not saying Sumlin is safe. Just that overall mood shifted dramatically as to what needed to be done in the second half.
