Good to demolish a weaker opponent. Need to be great this weekend, 2-1 would be great 3-0 would be elite and 1-2 would be disappointing

Need a good bounce back tonight. I think Sims needs to move to the Saturday start slot and look hard at others as a #3 starter.

I agree, I wouldn’t even be against Lions taking the Sunday spot. At least for the early part of the season till someone separates themselves.

Ags go 2-1 on the weekend and improve to 10-1. Overall it was a good weekend, we had the most to gain and I think we did well. Next up UIW Tuesday and a 3 game series at home against Oakland before getting into SEC play in two weeks.

Sims didn't make it out of the fifth. Darden just doesn't have the velocity, and Freshcorn looked pretty good. Especially after Darden. Pitching may be a concern once again.

I thought Simms did well but it just seemed like he gassed out very quickly. Ags up to #22 in the rankings

Simms did well until the fifth. Concerned about middle relief. Darden throws a junk ball (lower velocity) but has little control with it. Freshcorn came in at the end and the velocity difference was very apparent.
I agree we need to play some other guys if we don't want the same meh results as last year.

Right now I feel confident in Sdao, freshcorn and simms. Outside of those 3 it’s kind ehhh, haven’t seen enough J Stew imo to really get an idea of how he’s gonna be

Vargas on the mound tonight. I wonder if this means Lyons is going to take a weekend spot. Also no Hacopian and no Wes Jordan. These injuries are really pissing me off, hopefully it’s precautionary and we just hold them both out till next week against OU to start conference play

I'd hold them out. I mean it's Oakland this weekend. Assuming we get a game or two in.
