Wish I'd come here and read all this before the streak, but goddamn yall sound awful. I dont know how this season will turn out, but I for one, and glad they went with a younger guy trying to prove himself instead of overpaying for another over the hill guy like our dept has done in ghe past.

Early didn’t forget how to coach and the players didn’t forget how to play
But I’m sure there has been some learning curves for him
I hope the team finishes strong and everyone puts away their pitch forks
And I still hope the wheels fall off in San Francisco east

It’s absolutely ok to call a coach or a team out when they’re not performing well.

I believe I even said it earlier in this thread, but I absolutely hope he proves me wrong and turns out to be a great coach. I don’t want to see Earley fail and the team do bad. But I’m not going to blindly pretend like everything was all sunshine and rainbows when we clearly were struggling.
They seem to have found themselves and we’ll really know this weekend

I agree 100%. But the "Fire Earley" rhetoric was a bit much not even halfway through the season.
I'm just saying I'd like to see what he can do and I'm glad he got a chance instead of us money whipping some other coach who's best days are behind him.

was a bit much
quote:now this I can agree with. Our AD needs to be held to a higher standard. I know Trev is newer but in the past allowing bad hires to stay too long or over paying a big extension off of one mediocre season that’s gotta come to an end. The fact Joni still has a job is mind boggling to me
some other coach who's best days are behind him.
Also, we love throwing out extensions, I think Trisha Ford definitely deserves one. Not 100% sure what her current contract length looks like but I’ll lose my mind if she gets poached.

the AD is in the red. The jimbo fiasco will be felt for a while, in multiple sports.

We returned much of a team a few outs away from a national championship and were (deservedly) the consensus #1 team in the country preseason. It was not and is not a bit much.

My biggest aggravation is he was the hitting coach for 3 years and last year with a lot of the same players it was arguably one of the best offenses we’ve had. This year he’s the HC and the hitting was shite for the first month-month and half of the season. That’s supposed to be his bread and butter, so that’s frustrating we had such a stretch of poor batting. I can kind of forgive coaching blunders in terms of lineup, pitching changes etc. cause he is a first time HC and he’s gonna have some growing pains. But the hitting being so drastically absent was infuriating

I get that, that’s why I’m trying to withhold judgement on him for the most part. He’s in a rough situation, I get it

Binderup is such. Liability in the field. We need Kash back. I get Blake’s hitting well right now but his fielding is a legit problem

Well well well
Don’t let the Ags get hot!

If we can win 1 tomorrow, it’s a new world.

It’s a race to 13 wins, so really we just needed to avoid the sweep to stay on schedule. But if we go take 1 more tomorrow, now we’re talking something different on the back half of conference play

Need to squeeze as much juice out of this hot streak as we can. I say we just go ahead and win both
Posted on 4/18/25 at 5:14 pm to NanosTacoRun
Both is off the table lol perhaps just a series win

Need to hold on to this lead to finish up a good weekend
