Both were 3-seeds that barely made the tournament.

Oklahoma beat the 13-seed, then the 4-seed to reach Omaha.

Florida beat the 11-seed, then the 6-seed to reach Omaha.

2022 OU was a 2 seed that finished tied for third in the Big 12 and won their conference tournament. They finished the regular season ranked in a few polls. They did not barely sneak into the tournament

2022 Ole Miss is the comparison to Florida if you’re trying to do this meaningless exercise

This comparison is even worse than I imagined

Seriously, the comparison was right there. Ole Miss literally accomplished what Florida did but in reverse.

Even then it’s a bad comparison because Ole Miss wasn’t in danger of missing the tournament like Florida was.

They were literally the last team in the tournament. UF was not.

Ole Miss was the last team selected. Their conference record was 14-16. Florida's was 13-17.

The strength of the SEC this season was far greater than last season, as evidenced by FIVE SEC teams with 13-17 conference records making the tournament.

If (and I mean IF) we beat Florida and Kentucky beats NC State, who is the home team for the next game?

No it wasn’t, Ole Miss finished the regular season at 32-21.

I believe a coin flip determines the home team for Game 2 if both teams were home (or both away) for Game 1

I don’t how someone could live their life being so negative. I would find it so exhausting and honestly it’s not good for your health.

Well deserved! Just need 3 or 4 more award-worthy appearances.

Lamkin is supposedly getting the start tomorrow. Not so sure about that, but maybe he is the most well-rested option.

Yup. We gotta win the first two and UF hit Prager hard last time. We all know Lamkin is only in as long as he's effective. It might only be an inning or two before we get Cortez.

Honestly like the move. Lamkin and/or Jones is gonna have to step up for us to make a run. I’d rather give him that opportunity game one instead of having to hope he steps up vs Kentucky/NCState or in an elimination game. I’d imagine it’s gonna be a very short leash and we’ll see Cortez. I don’t hate the move at all, Lamkin’s had flashes now’s the time to put it together
