I don't really understand making villains out of kids over choosing a school out of high school in general, even if it was alleged they took money and we have zero idea what their family situation is. But that's just me

I hear you and I get that concept in abstract. But the reality is that when some of these kids purposefully lead a whole fanbase on only to switch teams last minute (often in a premeditated manner) it is human nature to resent the tread marks they left on our backside. I know for me personally the 2010 OU win was that much sweeter because we beat "Mr. Texas A&M."

Handlers like Lyles or Greg Little's guy I get but I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to a 17 or 18 year old. I don't think enjoying a win because of what Corey Nelson did is really villainizing him, it's more the backlash and hate on Twitter and message boards

As I recall it took A&M forever to hire new coaches on defense, so I put at least some of that Corey Nelson flip on A&M.

I put most of it on Brent Venables. Honestly Nelson had a decent amount of payback. Not only did we get the 2010 win, but also he never lived down being Mr. Texas A&M:

Hamm saying Netherly still has A&M at the top of his list (tied w/ LSU). Hopefully it's another Daylon Mack situation with a kid overreacting for public attention, but eventually jumping back on board

Just made the top 4 (along with Miami, Arkansas and ND) for this guy out of Louisiana. No interest from LSU yet.

I don't think LSU has offered Carper yet. We did make Kellen Mond's top 3, but I still remain skeptical of kids considering Auburn.
