I never follow recruiting until this time every year, and this time I expected us fall back quite a bit. I'm honestly astonished at how we managed to pull another good class together. Well done bagmen

It should be top 10 right?
I am ashamed of this but The battered Aggie in me deep down inside expects the kissing bandit Herman and the dirty cheating Texas University boosters to steal a recruit with big bags of money tomorrow morning

Probably 12-15.

What happened is that classes below us have far fewer recruits and will pass us with just a few additions.

Teams will rise on the last day with commitments.
We're sitting at #10 with 247 points. We'll land Rogers and get to 248.
The last few years 248 will get you 16th, 16th, 14th, 16th. So maybe I'm overestimating or maybe there is more parity this year.

Gotcha, so it's not that our class will get worse but more that schools that are ranked close to us will get a few kids that are uncommitted and pass us tomorrow.

I don't know that for a fact, but I would expect it based on past results. To be honest I haven't followed all that close this year.

James White is transferring to Lamar to play his last year.

It appears this class is going to be very solid. Despite another 8-5 and late season collapse. Sumlin and co deserve some credit for it.
But.....Baylor and tu collapsing even worse was probably a huge help

Sumlin saying y'all have one more spot left. Any idea who it is?

Looks like we'll finish around 12, good for 3rd/4th in the West depending on which service you use.
Regardless of whether we should be higher, that's one of the top 10% of the classes in the country. We should expect results better than we are seeing. We don't have the talent to consistently beat Bama/LSU, but we are recruiting better consistently than 9/12 teams we play every year and are usually even with Auburn.

We do less with more, but we don't quite do nothing.

I think this may be the "nothing" year.
Though the more I think about it, if we're being honest, our QB accuracy really can't get worse. Trevor Knoght for all his intangibles was AWFUL at hitting wide open receivers.

Time will tell. If it is the nothing year then any excuse to keep Sumlin is gone.
