That's fine. I'm cool with not having any more QB drama. I don't want Sumlin anymore, but of all the things that bother me, losing Stidham is very low on the list.

He would have still had to compete here and our fanbase couldn't handle anymore QB drama. Auburn fans seem to have become desensitized to QB controversy, just like Bama and LSU fans.

Stidham would have been the starter his first day on campus.

Unless Starkel has made maaaaajor strides.

Stidham to Auburn.

This just confirms sumlin is gone after next season.

No way a first year starter is going to win the games we will need to win to keep sumlin, and if hubenak is our qb next year I probably won't even watch...That surely won't be good for my health.

I have no idea how good stidham is or isn't, but he was probably the best shot at a few extra wins that had the potential of keeping sumlin around.

Stidham spent the last season as a scout team QB for a local HS team. Starkel has been on campus with the current staff and players running this system.

If Stidham thought he could when the job without it being promised to him and he wanted to be an Aggie, nothing stops him from being on campus. He could enroll just like anyone else.

You gtfo bro. Kid had all year to decide while he sat on his arse. Right before his decision he allegedly starts tweeting about the Herman to the Sips, then goes to Auburn, and then Florida. Baker Mayfield walked onto OU and it worked out fine.

You can be miserable and upset if you want too, but why don't you just keep it to yourself and let the rest of us discuss recruiting.

If Mond starts, we don't need him to be more accurate than Manziel. We need him to be more accurate than KNIGHT.

Stidham didn't decide not to be an ag, sumlin did.

If it's because we're afraid Briles gets a job and or monds recruiting ties are more important that's one thing, acting like Mond is the better player is asinine though.

Where is the proven line? No he isn't Russell Wilson grad transfer proven but he's completed over 10% more of his passes against college teams than Mond has against high-school teams. He also was a much better passer in high school as well.

He had 12td and 2int. He scored a touchdown on every goal to go possession he had.

The "experts" have almost unanimously said he is the most important recruit this cycle and he'd been rated a 5 star while sitting out this season.

Mond may be great but he's a huuuuge project, and not as athletic as people seem to think. If we took Stidham, Mond would have been our 3rd fastest qb recruit.

To assume that Stidham is a sure thing against SEC defenses is ridiculous. Throwing out that he is a 5 star is even more ridiculous.

Im saying the sure thing argument is ridiculous. Who are sure things as recruits?

Stidham is as close as it gets. Sure the big 12 isn't the sec, neither are high school or juco or any of the other leagues we recruit from. We still go after the guys who look the best relative to their competition.

He's done well at ever level he's played.

Do we like recruits with success? Do we like recruits that are sought after by other programs? Do we like recruits that are ranked highly by the services?

They're all just data points. Stidhams are all positive.

sitting out a year (after playing in about the same # of games jeremy johnson did before his heisman campaign) isn't positive?
