The difference is that we won't be able to count on our conference opponents shitting the bed next season. Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Auburn, and Ole Miss aren't going to fall apart in football like Kentucky, Vanderbilt, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, and Tennessee have in basketball this year.

If trends hold we're going to be in for a lot of sloppy 17-13 games because nobody on either side will be able to stop a rush

But most of our fans come off as the little kid who's always throwing his toy aside and pointing at the other kid's toy screaming, "But I want that one!"

Because those fans can look at the overall rankings and see that not only are we falling behind in the SEC, we are falling behind in the state. Even if who you sign is "good" if who you have to play signs better than unless you have elite coaching (which is why Arky fans don't commit suicide) then you won't be as successful as you want to be.

People aren't being irrational children, they are watching our future unfold and it isn't pretty. Our defense has sucked the last couple of years because of those Sherman classes. Cause and effect with recruiting is easy to see.

With that said, I am happy for the new Ags we signed. I hope that we can get some of them to the NFL so they can play for something bigger than fifth in the West and fifth in the state.

As for our program's outlook, today I am just happy we are in the SEC. Right now would it would suck so bad being in the Big 12, being out recruited by everyone with the knowledge that the JFF momentum was all gone. We would have no hope for the future.

At least we can still have hope that some point in the distant post-Saban SEC future maybe some hotshot coach can combine SEC+Texas+our facilities to have some actual success. Until OU joins the SEC we can always have hope that the future might be better than today.

I didn't say that, I said we have every reason to expect our team to be improved. we will be stronger and more experienced at every position except for kicker.

thats nonsense

the difference is ONE SINGLE RECRUIT

if Jones would have put on an A&M hat most on here would be high fiving and saying we closed with a great class

Yeah, but the schedule is harder than last season.

I mean, I expect a ten win season next year but only because that would be just like us to do that. The problem will be that it will raise expectations going forward, even though the talent that will get us to 10 wins will go to the NFL. Hopefully Sumlin won't get an extension out of it.

2017 will be the really bad not going to a bowl season.

On OL, we go from starting 2 juniors and 2 seniors to starting a freshman, 2 sophomores, and 2 seniors.

Plus, Christiansen is still our shitty OL coach.
