Hamm posted on that 247 link a screenshot of him texting malik and joking about it, so apparently it isn't Hamm after all. The plot thickens.

Even though it's not him, you just know he's one of those annoying writers that texts recruits all the time like they're bros.
Also, I doubt he did it, but wouldn't it be fairly easy for him to just use another convo and change the contact name to take a screenshot of it?

heres what I don't get, we don't offer boyd because of "character issues" but we offer jeryl brazil?

Boyd also has grade issues.
Let's say we take Sheffield, Boyd, and Elam from here. That's 5/6 DBs (depending on where you slot Dunning). That's borderline on needs because we probably need 6. But those raw numbers scare others from committing. Then Boyd doesn't make it in. Now you are at 4/5 and came up short of pure need. He's just a risky take right now imo.
Brazil is not as much of a threat to depth chart issues to incomers because he'd enter as a Junior. We're going to need a JUCO or two just to get to where we need to be but I still don't like the Brazil offer.
We'd like to be at 14-16 DBs.

JRs - Wiggins, Ellis, Garner
SOs - Davis, Harvey, Watts, Wilson
With zero attrition, we're walking in with 9. Taking 5 leaves you short if there is any attrition. We need 6+. But you take 6-7 freshmen and you get negatively recruited hard. If we take Boyd, he absolutely has to get into school.

I prefer when sumlin can yessir b4 it gets announced but I guess I'm being picky? Evans is a good pick up with good offers, it will be interesting to see his rating once he's evaluated by 247...
