Rojo defending himself on TA :

quote:

As I promised, here is an accounting of my posts:

Chavis as DC two days prior to the LSU bowl - Check.
Curley Shuffle Part 1: Kyler Murray - Check. Most on here had him as a "lock to t.u."
Curley Shuffle Part 2: Daylon Mack - Check. Most on here had him as a "lock to t.u."

1 RB - Kendall Bussey - Check
1 DL - Daylon Mack - Check
1 DB - K. Boyd - early leak of flip stopped momentum
1 LB - R. Smith - doing his best to pick

1 maybe surprise -- didn't pan out -- Sheffield - Bama

UCLA kids on the defensive side of the ball who faxed an LOI have to feel betrayed to a degree.

If you're in houston tune in to 790, seems that they are going off on horn and ketch stupidity and browsing shaggy counting the threads about a&m

I can't speak to that. It may be. But sales isn't about pestering someone. It's about reading them and doing what they want. Some people respond to low pressure and some high. We generally do push/pull. High attention for a while and if they aren't responding go cold for a while before high contact reengage. These are sales techniques and while they often work, sometimes they backfire if you misread. I don't think we did here.

As of last night, the Sheffields had not yet decided. The commit was a placeholder because they weren't ready. They told our coaches it was just a verbal and continue to act as if he was uncommitted.

Why do so many folks think 17-18 year old kids are or should be predictable

When you look at the quality of recruits not the quantity.

We are 12th on the composite rankings overall, but we finish 9th in the average rankings which is a better indicator of who signed the better talent instead of just higher numbers of commits.

Dudes gotta step up. Sheff was a priority target and much more important to us than to Bama.

Reminds me of when Mack Brown would hoard all the DTs in Texas. He'd take everyone that had real potential, even if he didn't need them all, just to deny them from us.

The Chris Warren coin flip decision is bizarre, but he said it's true. Actually making your college choice by a coin flip.

Florida just salvaged their class jumping up nearly 50 points in the rankings by nabbing Jefferson and Ivey

Roquan Smith, Tyron Johnson, Marvell Tell

247 lists them without signing LOI. Any new news?

Tyron and Tell have signed. Smith hasn't because UCLA is probably losing their DC. Will likely sign with UGA, unless that tweet I posted above was referring to Smith.
