Is he counting Mack as a new addition?

He feels good about Mack and at least one of Lodge, Smith, Shef, or a surprise. We may even land 2 from that list. Feels very unlikely we land 3.

Yep. He doesn't count Lodge as part of the two though. Brice is the one who thinks Lodge will sign with A&M. Looch not as confident. Also says he doesn't know about Smith, but if forced to guess, he would say UCLA.

Interesting. I think Boyd Lodge and Martin are the best bets based off what we've heard last night and today.

Hmm. The wildcard has to be someone other than Tell I would think since it seems like that's kind of out of the bag. Unless he's just being overly cautious. If we finished with Mack and Tell I would be fricking pumped

I gotta say I'm intrigued by this "wildcard" mystery recruit everyone keeps mentioning.
He also has very low expectations for Martin flipping.

Someone asked him about Tyron Johnson and he said he wasn't going to talk about WRs (but then talked about Lodge later). This might actually have some legs.

Me too. It's a good sign our staff is able to keep lines open with elite prospects like this. If we can flip one of these guys every four or five years it will be worth it

Johnson was a guy who seemed like he was jonesing to play on a spread but couldn't find the right fit. OK State and Tech were major players for him for a while and I think were two of his final three (lol). It always surprised me he didn't have more interest in us

Our WR depth probably scared him. Easy to negative recruit our depth chart. We probably would've gotten Merritt if we hadn't gotten Kirk. Merritt apparently loves A&M and really wanted to come here, but couldn't get over the depth chart.

I dunno. If he goes there then whatever. I wouldn't really care since I never got my hopes after he decommitted and we wouldn't have to play him at OM.

Smoke about McGuire taking a position with tu. I'd be shocked if that happened, tbh. He definitely would've eventually made the leap to college, but I think he wanted to stay in HS for a few more years. People said at least until his son graduates. Plus, why tu? I would love for A&M to get him on staff.
