Wtf happened to A&M being heavy favorites? Ugh. Truly goes to show you how unpredictable recruiting is.
Our staff wanted to get a commitment before he left, but he didn't oblige. SC managed to get it. He didn't even wait to take his last official even though he previously harped on taking all of his officials. Some things I'll never understand.

As for the Chavis buyout, by my math:
$400,000 in 1995 dollars (what LSU owes us) = $621,354.33
Therefore, LSU now only owes us $221,354.33.

He was never going to Austin. It was just to stir the pot, and get some more $$ thrown his way. My theory is we were relatively low balling them in Kevin's eyes, bc of the baseball risk and his size. They showed his value with one twitpic.
