It probably doesn't mean anything, and unless we make the 4-team playoff race I doubt it'll happen, but I read somewhere that were talking to Iman Marshall "behind the scenes" as well. I think it was last week. I don't think we want to scare Sheffield away by offering this kid or anything but we offered Tolliver from Fla (LSU diehard) so what gives?
I like what we got in our backyard though too. And if I had to choose I'd say Elam over Hill, take Boyd and of course Sheffield.

ftr since what I posted has already made it to a couple of other sites, I guess I should clarify - my info on Boyd is mostly speculative*. He's very close and I was told it is imminent. And if you could pick any day, given how this staff operates, I think the staff would prefer today be that day.
But I don't know it as fact or anything. I hear things but I don't talk to recruits and they all have their own timetables and reasoning so it's entirely possible he waits 2 more weeks or something.

The situation with Boyd is a little cloudy. I think we all know, his offer was held due to off-field stuff. After the arrests this week, I'm concerned it may spook our staff which is my single biggest reservation on his commit. But he and Josh Walker are extremely tight (they are like 2nd cousins or some such btw). And there are those around him that want him near Walker because Walker has been a steadying influence.

I think he wants to be an Ag, and probably is ready to committ but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't pull the trigger soon either because he knows he's a hot commodity. But you're right about Walker and I think that's what is going to end up happening too in that he wants to play together on the same defense.
