That won't happen as long as we have an AD who gets paid to not perform AD functions.

The next coaching change will be the most significant hire in Hyman's tenure...because it will be the first one.

Repeating myself, 400+ games in 10 years.

The only thing he should be judged on is post season.

That's ridiculous.

Do you think FSU should fire Mike Martin? Is that coach at Fresno who has a title and is like 400-310 in his career at Fresno a better coach than Martin?

Nope. Because in just the last ten years he's been to the cws 3 times and won 6 regionals. Something Childress hasn't done.

And not one win in the cws is ridiculous.

The playoffs are about playing well at the right time and getting hot. Good teams lose regionals often. Great teams don't get out of the supers. We just had one of our best regular seasons ever and we did it without 2 of our best pitchers. It's not like we went 2nQ in our own regional. We won game 1 and lost game 2 in 14 innings after Cal stole a home run and we couldn't. Seems a little ridiculous to me especially when we are still playing.

I have no problem with what you're saying, and agree mostly. Baseball is a funny sport like that. If this was 4-5 years in I'd say there was too small a sample size, But 9-10 years of consistently under performing offensively isn't a fluke. That's all I'm saying.

Many here might not mind above average seasons with a shot at a cws birth once every decade. Nothing wrong with that. However I'd like to see expectations raised, not managed.

I agree with this, but look at our offense this year. We hit 65 home runs. We have 6 guys with over .900 OPS, 35 RBIs, and avg home run of 7 HR per guy. The offense tailed off, but looking at a 2 game window is not reflective of how good we are. TCU, UCLA, & OSU are in the same boat. UCSB are already out. Last year only 2 national seeds even made the CWS.

For all those saying Rob needs to go, show me someone with a better resume we can realistically hire. He's got 9 straight appearances, 3 regional wins, 1 super regional win, while hosting 4 regionals.

It's a new day, and we ain't dead yet. Difficult road, but far from impossible. I expect this team to play very well with its back against the wall. Gig'em Aggies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt it. He's never gone longer than 4.1 or 4.2. If he goes 6 consider it a win.
