In the last home game of the 2010 season there were five players recognized as seniors who were unable to finish their playing careers due to injury. We've already lost 3 players (Brandon Jackson, Stephen Barrera, Charlie Thomas) to injury in the last 12 months alone.
I also didn't factor in that at least one player off of the current roster will not be academically able to finish his complete eligibility. He may return (i.e. Ben Bass) though.

All signs point to A&M missing out on Rashaad Samples this weekend which is a bummer.
Mike Mitchell lists his final 3 as Florida State, Ohio State and A&M. Kid ran a 4.39 40 today at the opening. That's pretty sick speed for an LB. Hopefully we can get him on campus again before he makes a decision or this one doesn't look like it will go our way either.

Fortunately if there's one position where we can afford a loss like that with Samples right now it's at WR. We have a great class committed already at WR and are still on a couple other guys there, especially Luper

I think we feel pretty good about him. Just like last year, we have built a pretty strong Houston contigent and they have been in Prevot's ear for awhile. but we'll see.
